2024 Queensland Training Awards State Final

On Saturday, 7 September, the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre came alive with excitement as the 2024 Queensland Training Awards took center stage. With a packed crowd of guests dressed to impress, the evening celebrated some of the most outstanding talent in vocational education and training across the state. Blue Dog Training was there in full force to cheer on two of our standout apprentices, Tyler Gscheidle and Jacinta Morice, both of whom have earned their places as 2024 State finalists.

Tyler Gscheidle, a State Finalist for the prestigious Harry Hauenschild Apprentice of the Year award, has recently completed his Certificate III in Carpentry apprenticeship with Blue Dog Training. He was supported by BDT trainer, Ryan Crocker, and mentored by his employer, Werry Building, in Gladstone, Central Queensland. Tyler’s commitment and enthusiasm has been evident throughout his entire training and apprenticeship journey.

Jacinta Morice, a School-based Apprentice of the Year State Finalist, is currently working through her Certificate III in Carpentry with Blue Dog Training. Under the guidance of BDT trainers Chris Maude and Jason Gilmour, and alongside her employer, Teton Construction and Maintenance, Jacinta continues to make remarkable strides in her apprenticeship. Based in Glenaven, Darling Downs Southwest, Jacinta is a driven and focused young professional with a bright future ahead.
