Congratulations to Jacinta Morice for winning the School-based Apprentice of the Year in the Darling Downs Southwest region of the Queensland Training Awards!
At just 17 years old, Jacinta is excelling in her Cert III in Carpentry apprenticeship with Blue Dog Training through a school-based program. Growing up on a farm in Glenaven, Queensland, Jacinta is a true country girl. Her love for the outdoors, hands-on work, and helping her dad around the property sparked her passion for carpentry. She finds immense satisfaction in her work and cherishes the camaraderie it brings.
"My love for carpentry began building alongside my dad on our farm, and I hope to continue making him proud," says Jacinta.
Her training journey has been incredible, and she credits her success and enthusiasm to the inspiring women in her life.
"Many powerful women have motivated me to achieve my goals and be a positive influence. I hope to inspire others in the same way," Jacinta shares.
